3 School Board Candidates Endorsed by Covington Education Assoc.
The Covington Education Association has announced its endorsmenets for the Board of Education race. Of the ten candidates in the field, the CEA has chosen to support incumbent Glenda Huff, and first-time candidates Joyce Baker and Kerry Holleran. "We have endorsed Joyce Baker, Kerry Holleran, and Glenda Huff as the strongest supporters of public schools and public education, for Covington students and staff," wrote representative Terry Poindexter in an email to RCN. The Covington Education Association is associated with the Kentucky Education Association.
In thanking the organization for its endorsement, Baker wrote on her campaign Facebook page, "Thanks to CEA & KEPAC! By working together, positive things can happen for the students, staff and community in Covington!"
Holleran also celebrated the news on her campaign Facebook page, writing, "I'm so thankful to have CEA and the KY Educators PAC behind me. Both organizations have so many great teachers!"
The seven other candidates in the field are: Christi Blair, Everett Dameron, incumbent Mike Fitzgerald, Tom Miller, Joseph Petty, Rebecca Pettigrew, and Jo Rogers.
