Covington Officer Graduates from FBI Academy

From the Covington Police Department:

"On September 21st, 2012, Sgt. Brian Steffen graduated from the 250th Session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, VA. Sgt. Steffen has been a member of the Covington Police Department since April 1998. This was a 10 week training session that consisted of challenging scholarly topics related to police work. It culminated with the Yellow Brick Road challenge which consists of a 6.1-mile grueling run through a hilly, wooded trail built by the Marines. Along the way, the participants climbed over walls, ran through creeks, jumped through simulated windows, scaled rock faces with ropes, crawled under barbed wire in muddy water, maneuvered across a cargo net, and more. Sgt. Steffen earned 17 college credits through the University of Virginia for successfully completing the coursework. Congratulations to Sgt. Steffen for representing the City of Covington in such a professional manner."
