A man was hospitalized after crashing his vehicle in Latonia on Friday afternoon shortly after 2 p.m.
The man crashed at the intersection of 38th Street and Winston Avenue.
Covington Police tell The River City News that the male driver, the vehicle's only occupant, was transported to University Hospital with facial injuries.
Witnesses told police that the vehicle was stopped in the center turning lane south of the intersection when it made a sudden left turn, drove up on the curb at the southwest corner, drove across the intersection at 38th Street between Lee's Chicken and the American Legion Post, and ultimately crashed into a small wall on the northwest corner.
The driver was unable to provide any details about the crash. Police recovered a small firearm and said that the man had a conceal carry permit on his person.
The accident is still being investigated.
