Man Arrested, Accused of Robbing Ft. Wright Walmart, Attacking Guards
A man was arrested Sunday afternoon after allegedly biting one security guard and punching another one at the Ft. Wright Walmart.
William Bowman, 22, was one of two men questioned by Walmart security after being suspected of stealing. Inside the office he admitted to having a handgun on him. Bowman reportedly turned the gun over and then bit a guard on the arm and punched the other in the face.
Bowman then fled the store and took off in a vehicle that he eventually abandoned but was captured soon after in the nearby woods.
He is charged with first degree robbery and is in the Kenton County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond and is expected to appear in a Kenton County courtroom Monday morning.
The other suspect was released.
Ft. Wright Police say the original charge would have been misdemeanor theft and that the value of the items allegedly stolen was $42.
