Seafood Fest Opens Thursday in Newport, Runs All Weekend
The 26th annual Great Inland Seafood Festival kicks off Thursday night in Newport.
There will be 10,000 whole Maine live lobsters for sale at $10.95 each, but organizers warn you -- they sell fast! Last year the event ran out of lobster on Saturday night.
More than fifteen local restaurants and national vendors will be selling the lobsters, shrimp, crawfish, crab legs, oysters, salmon, redfish, and more.
The Great Inland Seafood Festival is free and accessible to all and you can find it at Riverboat Row in Newport. There is ample parking around the event (Handicap parking is available on Columbia Street).
