Teens Accused of Vandalism Spree Busted in Boone Co.
Three teens are charged in a Boone County vandalism spree.
The Boone County Sheriff's Office has been investigating the string of vandalism since March. Twenty-six vehicles in Burlington and Hebron suffered smash windows and four mailboxes were damaged in the overnight hours by suspects using cinder or concrete blocks, a log, a tire jack, and bricks.
Andrew Epperson, 18, of Hebron and two juveniles were arrested over the weekend. Epperson faces charges of first degree criminal mischief, third degree criminal mischief, second degree unlawful transaction with a minor, and third degree unlawful transaction with a minor. He was being held in the Boone County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond. The two 17-year old juveniles (one from Hebron and one from Burlington) are charged with firts and third degree criminal mischief.
The investigation began during the weekend of March 9-10 when five vehicles and four mailboxes were damaged on Damascus Road in Hebron and Fawn Drive & Sundance Boulevard in Burlington. More vandalism occurred on the May 29-30 when four more vehicles were damaged on Sunchase Boulevard, Damascus Road, and Micah Court. Two weeks later, June 12 - 15, ten more vehicles were reported to be damaged on Petersburg Road, Berwood Lane, Coral Drive, and West Horizon Drive.
Seven more vehicles were damaged on July 20-21, 24-25, and 27. Those happened on Sequoia Drive, Petersburg Road, and Bermuda Drive.
