Photos: Downtown Covington Building Demolished
An historic Downtown Covington building came crashing to the ground Saturday, part of a redevelopment plan along the 900 block of Madison Avenue.
The building most recently was used as storage for the Henderson Music Company which closed its Covington location next door after fifty years in business.
The new owner was given permission from the City of Covington to raze the building because it had deteriorated so much that its southern wall was buckling.
It will be replaced on the site with a parking lot and landscaping while the Henderson Music Company building is expected to be redeveloped to include residential and commercial units.
