Photos: Newport Beats Holmes & Other NKY Football Scores
The final regular season high school football games were played Friday night. Here is a rundown of the scores from the Northern Kentucky River Cities:
Newport 21, Holmes 14 The Bulldogs fall to 5-5 on the season and plat at Ashland Blazer next week in the Class 4A playoffs. Newport events its record at 5-5 and will face Carroll County next week in the Class 2A playoffs.
Mason Co. 34, Scott 21 The Eagles dropped their third consecutive game after starting the season undefeated. Scott is now 7-3 and will travel to Franklin Co. next week for the Class 5A playoffs.
Campbell Co. 44, Holy Cross 0 The Indians end their regular season with a record of 1-9 and will travel to Gallatin Co. next week for the Class 2A playoffs.
Highlands 71, Warren Central 69 It was some shootout in Ft. Thomas on Friday night and the Bluebirds held on for the win and improve to 9-1 on the year. They host Boyd Co. in next week's Class 4A playoffs.
Caroll Co. 42, Dayton 8 The Greendevils are now 2-8 and will travel to Frankfort for next week's Class 1A playoffs.
Ludlow 28, Pendleton Co. 6 The Panthers are 4-6 on the year and travel to Paris fo rnext week's Class 1A playoffs.
Saturday games: Covington Catholic (7-2) hosts Conner, Newport Central Catholic (5-4) hosts Beechwood. Bellevue (5-5) did not play this week and will host Eminence in next week's Class 1A playoffs.
