C-Forward's Brent Cooper Named Interim NKY Chamber of Commerce President
Excerpt from Northen Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Press Release:
Brent Cooper, the President of C-Forward Inc. in Covington, has been named the interim president of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce.
Cooper, a former Chamber board chair and a long-time Chamber member, will lead the region’s largest business organization during the search for the successor to current President Steve Stevens. Stevens announced in October that he is leaving the Chamber after 20 years of service.
“I am glad that I am in a position to serve during this time of transition,” Cooper said. “It will truly be my pleasure to give back to an organization that has given so much to our business and our community.”
“Our Chamber is about bringing businesses together to collectively advocate and grow,” he said. “We have a terrific staff, dedicated volunteers, and an outstanding board of directors. Our organization is strong. I am being brought in to assure everyone that, during this time of transition, our Chamber of Commerce will remain that way.”
A national search will be conducted to find Stevens' successor.
The Chamber has also announced that Stevens will be honored with an Open House at the Chamber building in Fort Mitchell from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Feb. 6, which marks Stevens’ 20th anniversary at the Chamber. His last day on the job is Feb. 7.
Stevens said it is “fitting” that Cooper has been selected as interim president.
“There has probably been no volunteer I have worked with during my 20 years at the chamber who has been more committed and involved for as many years in literally every aspect of the Chamber,” Stevens said. “Brent knows who and what we are and will ensure we stay focused and not miss a beat during the few months it will take to conduct the search and transition to a new president.”
