Holmes Beats Mason Co., 70 - 53
The Holmes Bulldogs used seven threes and put four players in double figures to down visiting Mason County 70-53 on Wednesday night.
The game was originally scheduled for Tuesday but was postponed due to weather.
Holmes, ranked 9th in Kentucky, shot 59% from the field to improve to 13-3 on the season.
Sophomore guard Markel McClendon led the Bulldogs in scoring with eighteen points in thirty minutes of playing time. Senior Marcus Hill put in fourteen, junior James Bolden scored thirteen, and senior Armani Housley contributed eleven in the win.
Holmes outscored the Royals in all four quarters, expanding on a twelve-point halftime lead in the second half to win by seventeen.
The Bulldogs play host to Scott on Thursday night at 7:30. The Eagles (5-13) have lost six straight and nine of their last ten.
