Christ Hospital to Expand Services on Site of Former Drawbridge Inn
The Christ Hospital Health Network in Cincinnati announced today its initial redevelopment plans for the landmark Drawbridge Inn site in Fort Mitchell, which include a 75,000-square-foot medical office building to be part of a larger, mixed-use development.
“The former Drawbridge Inn site presents an exceptional opportunity for us to expand our presence in Northern Kentucky and provide more choice and access for consumers,” said Mike Keating, president and CEO of The Christ Hospital Health Network.
The site is a highly visible property located just east of I-71/75 in the city of Fort Mitchell. The redevelopment is being led by Brandicorp, a firm with nearly 30 years of real estate development experience in Greater Cincinnati.
“Brandicorp shares with the City of Fort Mitchell a vision to create a vibrant community with residential, retail and medical office uses at the southern gateway into Cincinnati. Having The Christ Hospital Health Network serve as the anchor tenant for this site is a tremendous jump-start to the project,” said Michael Brandy, president and CEO of Brandicorp.
“With this latest announcement of the redevelopment of the Drawbridge and Oldenburg Brewery areas, we bring critical jobs, growth and amenities for our city and its residents,” said Fort Mitchell Mayor Chris Wiest. “Having changed our outlook to one that is proactive and business friendly, we continue to reap dividends for our city and our residents, and this project is no different. We will continue to look for opportunities to increase our tax base and that of Beechwood Schools significantly, allowing us to hold the line on our residential taxes. We welcome Christ Hospital and Brandicorp as we partner with them to bring jobs and services to our residents.”
“Our reception in the community has been incredible. Patients and their families tell us how much they appreciate being able to access our Network of care in Northern Kentucky and that we provide a differentiated experience to them,” said Vic DiPilla, Chief Business Development Officer at The Christ Hospital Health Network.
