Kentucky Lottery Manager Accused of Taking 1,800 Tickets & Redeeming Them
A regional manager with the Kentucky Lottery was arrested by Kentucky State Police on Friday, accused of fraudulent use of promotional lottery tickets.
Jeffrey L. Riley, 55, was taken into custody following an internal investigation of 1,800 missing promotional lottery tickets. The investigation determined, according to a news release, that Riley had redeemed or validated the missing tickets at a Georgetown location on three separate occasions.
Riley faces three counts of fraudulent use of a lottery ticket, a Class C felony. He was processed in the Scott County Detention Center and released on his own recognizance.
