Snow Storm Headed Our Way Sunday into Monday
The dangerously cold wind chills Friday morning may be among the least of your worries as another snow storm prepares to hit the region Sunday into Monday.
Temperatures in the single digits on Friday will combine with northeast winds of five to ten miles per hour to produce wind chills of zero to ten below through the middle of the morning. The National Weather Services urges you to dress in layers to combat the bitter cold temperatures.
But more weather trouble is on its way.
A winter storm watch goes in effect from Saturday afternoon through Monday as a significant snow and ice storm creeps towards us.
A frontal boundary will stall out in the Tennessee Valley on Saturday night, setting the stage for a major storm as low pressure tracks northeast along this boundary.
Heavy snow and significant icing are possible beginning late Saturday night into Monday.
Snow amounts could be in excess of six inches.
The rest of the week is shaping up to be bitterly cold, too.
