Rima's Diner to Close in Crescent Springs in Favor of Covington Location
Rima David is closing her 10-year old Rima's Diner in Crescent Springs to focus on her reopened and renamed Rima D's on Madison Avenue in Covington.
"The great news is that I am moving everything you've come to love about Rima's Diner to Rima D's in Covington where you will find the same great food, atmosphere, and prices," David wrote on the restaurant's Facebook page.
Her Madison Avenue location closed a few years ago only to reopen last August amid a wave of positive development news in Downtown Covington, including the forthcoming Hotel Covington that will be opened directly across the street and the Mutual Building luxury apartments that will soon undergo construction next door, as well as expansion plans for Gateway Community & Technical College in several Downtown buildings.
"With the addition of the Gateway Urban Campus, Hotel Covington, and bustling arts scene, Covington is growing in so many ways and I want to contribute to that energy and growth by focusing on bringing the same success to Rima D's in Covington," David said. "I hope to see all of you there and that you too will become a part of the revitalization of Covington."
Saturday, April 12 will be the last day of operations for Rima's Diner.
Rima D's in Covington will serve Easter brunch on April 20 and then on Monday, April 21, the Downtown Covington spot will extend its hours to 8 p.m. for dinner service.
