Tree Recovery Campaign for Tornado Victims Comes to Campbell Co.
The Kentucky Division of Forestry and the Arbor Day Foundation have formed a partnership called the Kentucky Community Tree Recovery Campaign to replace the number of trees lost on the March 2012 tornadoes.
The multi-year campaign will focus on getting trees replanted in the yards of Kentucky's tornado victims. Homeowners will have the ability to choose between a diverse selection of seedling trees and will receive proper tree planting and care materials.
Anyone can help deliver trees to citizens in need. 25,000 trees will be given to people in five Kentucky counties affected by the tornadoes.
The first event is in Bellevue at the city building starting at 9 a.m. For a list of other upcoming opportunities in Campbell County, click here.
