Grimes, Edelen to Appear at Campbell Democratic Unity Rally
Secretary of State and likely Democratic nominee for US Senate Alison Lundergan Grimes will join State Auditor Adam Edelen to rally Democrats in Campbell County this week.
Campbell County, unlike its two Northern Kentucky neighbors to the west in Kenton and Boone, has several Democratic candidates for county-wide office in November.
The Campbell County Democratic Party is hosting a Unity Rally & Potluck in Bellevue from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday with Grimes and Edelen headlining the event.
The rally is scheduled to take place at the Bellevue Vets on Fairfield Avenue in Bellevue. Grimes will speak between 5 and 5:30 while Edelen will talk between 6:30 and 7. State Rep. Dennis Keene (D-Wilder) will emcee.
Democrats in the county will have Ken Rechtin competing for Judge-Executive as well as Jason Steffen running for the 24th district State Senate seat. Highland Heights city councilwoman Rene Heinrich and Silver Grove Board of Education Chair Melanie Steidel are running for seats on the Fiscal Court.
The Democrats also have candidates for sheriff and jailer.
