Independence Awarded Emergency Road Aid for Slide Repair
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced Tuesday that City of Independence will receive $34,800 in Municipal Road Aid emergency funds. The money will be used by the city for a slide repair project on Marshall Road (CS 1007).
The road serves several residences in Independence. The repairs will make it safer for cars, school buses and other vehicles.
“This project is an example of the cabinet’s commitment to provide a solid infrastructure in the City of Independence in Kenton County,” said Transportation Secretary Mike Hancock.
The City of Independence is responsible for administering the work.
