Holmes 2014 Graduates Earn $2.1 Million in Scholarships
The Holmes High School Class of 2014 graduated on Friday evening with $2.1 million in scholarship money.
110 members of the class committed to college or the military, up from 45 last year. 65 students earned 383 college credit hours, an increase from 2013's 63 students and 354 hours.
This year's class had 159 members.
65 students are "college ready", up from 42 last year. 7 are "career ready", an increase from last year's 4.
Some of the schools the Holmes graduates will be attending are: Students are heading to Alabama A&M, The Art Institute of Ohio, Barnard College, Bluegrass Community & Technical College, Cincinnati State College, Chipola College, Clark Atlanta University, Columbia University, Eastern Kentucky University, Gateway Community & Technical College, Grinnell College, Kentucky State University, Lincoln Tech, Missouri Southern State, Murray State, Northern Kentucky University, Parkland College, Spalding University, Sullivan University, United States Army, United States Marine Corps, University of Cincinnati-Clermont College, University of Kentucky, University of Louisville, and Western Kentucky University.
