Kenton Co. Fair Begins Monday, Runs All Week
The Kenton County Fair is back.
The Beef Show and Miss Teen Kenton County Pageant are the first orders of Monday evening starting at 5:30 and 6 p.m., respectively. Other events on Monday include the opening ceremony, the greased pig contest, wheelbarrow races, and the Miss Kenton County Pageant.
On Tuesday, the Demolition Derby is the highlight of the evening. Another demo derby takes place on Wednesday.
Thursday is senior citizens night and those over 60 get half off admission. On the schedule is a horse show and a tug of war.
Friday features the spelling bee, truck and tractor pull classes, and a Skyline coney eating contest. Saturday concludes with a big tractor pull.
The cost for the fair is $10 per person and that includes unlimited rides. Rides operate Monda through Friday from 6- 11 p.m. and on Saturday from noon to 11 p.m.
The Kenton Co. Fairgrounds are at 2836 Harris Pike in Independence.
