Two New Attractions at Newport on the Levee
A new bowling alley and Mexican restaurant are the latest additions to Newport on the Levee.
Redondo Taqueria and AXIS alley are brought to the entertainment venue by Trifecta Management Group (TMG), a nationally recognized creator and operator of innovative restaurant and entertainment venues.
redondo is a taqueria style contemporary Mexican concept with a casual and eclectic environment that promotes a social gathering place for friends. Tacos are the primary focus on the menu with a wide selection of unique ingredients that include braised chicken, fresh fish, crispy pork belly and short ribs to name a few. The food also includes tapas, fresh salsas and other Mexican specialties.
redondo is scheduled to open July 31 at 7:30 p.m. in the space formerly occupied by Toro. AXIS alley has already launched and is currently open, but will be part of the opening night celebration.
Also on July 31, Newport on the Levee is hosting its Live at the Levee Summer Concert Series, so after their inaugural visit to redondo and AXIS alley guests can enjoy great live music from The Whammies on the Levee’s Riverfront Plaza.
AXIS alley is an exciting bowling venue at The Levee, in the former Star Lanes space, featuring an enhanced menu as well as a brand new banquet menu and an array of new promotions and programs. In addition, AXIS Live will provide weekly live entertainment, including some of the best local and regional bands.
AXIS alley will also be a spot to watch sports. With 30 HD TVs - including a video wall featuring two 70 inch TVs surrounded by four 42 inch TVs- and nine projectors, guests can enjoy multiple games and sporting events at once.
“Newport on the Levee is a fantastic dining and entertainment destination that we are thrilled to join,” said Michael Auger, a TMG Managing Partner, in a news release. “And we are very excited to introduce our unique and memorable style and food and fun to Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati.”
Newport on the Levee General Manager Harold Dull said redondo and AXIS alley will enhance the Levee’s reputation as the premiere entertainment and dining location in the region.
“Trifecta Management Group knows how to operate outstanding restaurant and entertainment concepts,” Dull said in a news release. “They do it all over the country, and we are fortunate to have redondo and AXIS alley at Newport on the Levee.”
TMG Culinary Director Brad Rishmany is the driving force behind the redondo menu. Before redondo, he worked with Food Network Chef Aarón Sánchez, to develop the Mestizo concept in Leawood, Kansas, and personally trained under the nationally-known Chef.Rishmany has cooked at the Super Bowl, the Telluride Food and Wine Festival and The White House in July 2012.
In addition to its unique style of tacos, redondo will also serve “first taste” appetizers that include Mexican shrimp cocktail, quesadillas and queso fundido; scallop and shrimp ceviche; custom burritos; Big Plates of carnitas, grilled meat “carne” that can be shared among a table; tortas of crispy pork belly, ground beef, carne and chicken; chicken tortilla soup; and for dessert tres leche cake, chocolate lava cake and churros with chocolate Kahlua sauce. Entrée prices range from $8 to $16.
redondo’s food is coupled with margaritas made with agave nectar and freshly squeezed juices and a Mexico-inspired drink menu.redondo also offers a large selection of Mexican beers and tequilas and wines from Latin and South America.
“For guests going to the game who want a quick bite, redondo will also provide quick, quality take out foods at reasonable prices,” Auger said.
TMG also knows how to make bowling fun and cool. In fact, in July of 2013 four TMG-related bowling alleys were included amongTravel + Leisure magazine’s 23 “America’s Coolest Bowling Alleys” out of more than 5,000 considered.
AXIS alley will offer a Happy Hour with drink and food specials, live entertainment and a late night menu. The menu will feature classic Americana fare featuring hand tossed pizzas, hand crafted burgers and a large selection of shareable appetizers ranging in prices from $7 to $15.
The entertainment will include 16 bowling lanes, 3 billiard tables, state-of-the-art sports viewing featuring 30 HD TVs, DJ and Karaoke.
“It will be a great gathering place for corporate events, social gatherings, rehearsal dinners, reunions, team parties and birthday parties,” Auger said.
