Bellevue Schools Selected for Chick-fil-A Leadership Program
Bellevue High School has been selected to participate in the Chick-fil-A Leadership Academy.
The chicken chain asked schools to apply last spring and not only was Bellevue selected, it was chosen as a regional host of the kick-off event on Thursday.
The program attempts to empower young people and inspire them into leadership roles. Thirty students are chosen to participate from each selected school.
Two hundred students from six high schools in Kentucky and Ohio will be at Bellevue for the kick-off event. There will be day-long activities, including the planning of monthly meetings throughout the remainder of the school year. At Bellevue and across the country, students will work on packing one million meals for Feeding Children Everywhere. All the food will go to local food banks.
In April 2015, all students chosen to participate in the Chick-fil-A Leadership Academy will complete a service project for their school or community.
