Impactful Weekend in Covington with "Give Back", Halloween Party

This weekend is impactful for Covington with the COV200′s Impact Covington Day and the Latonia Halloween Costume and Dance Party.
 
Impact Covington Day will be Saturday, Oct. 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. all over the city of Covington. COV200 is using the occasion of National Give Back Day to send volunteers across the city to:
 
• --Perk Up the Park in partnership with Keep Covington Beautiful;
 
• --help Goebel Park Shelter Beautification in partnership with Make Goebel Great;
 
• --join A Touch of Beauty painting in partnership with Providence Pavilion;
 
• --plant trees in partnership with Taking Root of NKy Urban and Community Forestry Board; and
 
• --mulching and landscaping in partnership with the Behringer-Crawford Museum in Devou Park.
 
All volunteers will receive a free COVmitted T-shirt and be honored with an after party.
 
The Latonia Halloween Costume and Dance Party will take place on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 7-11 p.m. at American Legion Post #203. Everyone is encouraged to dress up, cut a rug, karaoke, enjoy tasty small bites and beverages from the cash bar. This is an adult-only event sponsored by the Latonia Community Council and the Latonia Small Area Study.
 
The Center for Great Neighborhoods will have its annual meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 12, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at The Madison Event Center at 700 Madison Ave. in Covington. For more information, call 859-491-2220 or click here.
