This Covington Restaurant Makes Real Estate Site's List of 16

“This place will have you wishing you were German.”

So says the popular real estate website Movoto’s most recent list of Kentucky’s most mouthwatering restaurants about one of Covington’s newer dining establishments, Wunderbar, located at Lee and Martin Luther King.

With giant pretzels, tons of sausage, and of course, beer, Wunderbar is the perfect destination for someone that loves German cuisine. If you can, head there when they’re hosting live music, for one of the best dining experiences around.
Wunderbar was the only establishment to represent Covington — and Northern Kentucky as a whole — on the list, which consisted predominantly of Louisville-based restaurants, with a few from Lexington and Bowling Green peppered in for good measure. Wunderbar was also the only German-themed restaurant listed, and one of very few non-American or southern-themed establishments listed (the most common “ethnic” cuisine was Latin American).

And the description isn’t kidding when it says to hit Wunderbar on one of its many livemusic nights throughout the week. With Karaoke Thursday nights, open mic Sunday nights, a recurring “Breakfast with the Beatles” feature during Sunday brunch, and other musical acts booked throughout the week, Wunderbar has established itself as a place for undiscovered Northern Kentucky musicians to build a following.
