2 Kenton Co. Men Jailed on Child Porn Charges

Two Kenton County men are behind bars accused of possession child pornography.

Attorney General Jack Conway this week announced the arrests of Kenneth J. Sundberg, 47, and Alan Newberry, 42, in separate investigations Tuesday.

Sundbgerg was arrested at his Crescent Springs home by Conway's Cybercrimes Unit. He is charged with four counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor. Sundberg appeared in court on Wednesday morning and is being held on $25,000 bond.

The Cybercrimes Unit launched an investigation in November following an undercover lead. A search warrant was executed at Sundberg's house on Tuesday and investigators seized computers that they believe contain files depicting children engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

In a separate investigation, Newberry was arrested Tuesday morning at his home. He is also charged with four counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.

Both remain at the Kenton County Detention Center in Covington. Their charges are Class D felonies and each count carries a penalty of one to five years in prison.
