Are You Ready for the Snow? Details on the Expected Overnight Accumulation in Northern Kentucky

A hazardous weather outlook is in effect, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, Ohio.

The steady stream of cold rain that has fallen for much of Sunday is expected to turn to snow overnight where accumulations could be anywhere less than an inch to two inches, the NWS reported.

That transition from rain to snow will fully change after 3 a.m., the NWS said, which means it could linger long enough to affect the morning commute and school schedules. 

The rest of the week looks like this:

MONDAY Mostly cloudy, with a high near 31. Northwest wind 9 to 13 mph.

MONDAY NIGHT Cloudy, with a low around 23. North wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening.

TUESDAY Cloudy, with a high near 32. North wind 3 to 8 mph.

TUESDAY NIGHT Partly cloudy, with a low around 18. North wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm after midnight.

WEDNESDAY Mostly sunny, with a high near 36.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT A chance of snow after 3am, mixing with rain after 4am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

THURSDAY A chance of rain and snow. Cloudy, with a high near 44. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

THURSDAY NIGHT A chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

FRIDAY Partly sunny, with a high near 32.

FRIDAY NIGHT Partly cloudy, with a low around 22.

SATURDAY Mostly cloudy, with a high near 35.
