"Frozen" Princesses Coming to Bellevue for First Winter Carnival

UPDATE: Bellevue's Winter Carnival scheduled for February 21 is POSTPONED due to the WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY issued for Friday and Saturday. The event is rescheduled for Saturday, March 8, and all events will take place at the same times and locations as previously announced below.

Bellevue is hosting its first-ever Winter Carnival and the city snagged some high profile guests for the inaugural event: Anna and Elsa from the Disney smash Frozen.

The princesses are part of the family-friendly entertainment during the carnival, set for Saturday, March 7, which will include photo opportunities for kids with the Frozen characters at Witt's End Candy Emporium, one of the many locally-owned shops on Fairfield Avenue.

Magician "Presto" Paul Dalholt will perform table-side magic tricks at Bellevue restaurants including Avenue Brew, Twisted Sisters, and Siam Orchid. Balloon artist Greg Wilson will also be on hand. There will be several face painters at the carnival, too.

Expect to find the shops along Historic Fairfield Avenue decorated for the Winter Carnival  theme and offering Winter Carnival and/or Frozen-related merchandise and menu
items. In-store fun and games include decorating Frozen cookies at Circle of Hope Artisans, a snow ball toss at Le Sorelle Women’s Clothing, a Snowman Poke for a prize at Interior Visions and a 2:15 p.m. showing of Disney’s Frozen at Witt’s End Candy Emporium.

Winter Carnival is free and open to the public, and is sponsored by Citizens Bank of Northern Kentucky and Cleves & Lonneman Jewelers. Pick up a map and schedule of events from Fairfield Avenue shops and restaurants. Check the www.ShopBellevueKy.com website for more details and updates about Winter Carnival 2015.
