Over the weekend, Northern Kentucky leaders welcomed the summer arrival of Major League Baseball's All-Star Game.
During halftime at Thomas More College women's basketball game at the Conner Convocation Center, the "Baseball Across the Region" All-Star Initiative debuted.
The event featured Covington Mayor Sherry Carran, former Covington Mayor Chuck Scheper, Boone Co. Judge-Executive Gary Moore, Thomas More College President David Armstrong, Bank of Kentucky Vice President Mark Exterkamp, Covington business leader Brent Cooper, and the Thomas More baseball team.
The Community Organizing Committee (COC) was formed in partnership with the Cincinnati Reds and the Cincinnati USA Convention & Visitors Bureau to lead community efforts in preparation and support of All-Star Summer. “Baseball Across the Region” is a subcommittee of the COC, and is being led by Brent Cooper & Ralph Dusing.
The 2015 Major League Baseball All-Star Game will played in Cincinnati on July 14.
