What the New Aldi Grocery, Dollar Tree Coming to Northern Kentucky Will Look Like
A rendering of the new Independence Square development by Toebben Companies was released Friday and published by the Cincinnati Business Courier.
Ground is expected to be broken in June for the $6 million, 60,000 square foot neighborhood retail center that the company had previously announced for the intersection of old Kentucky 17 and the newly relocated Harris Pike (new KY 17).
Tenants for the development include Aldi grocery and Dollar Tree. Aldi will occupy roughly 17,000 square feet and Dollar Tree will fill another 10,000. As for the remaining space, Toebben Companies reported on its website that it has received interest from a fitness center, a wireless store, and a hair salon. "We hope to have the new tenants and retail center open for business in the fall of 2015. Independence Square with its excellent visibility, accessibility and abundant parking would be a great location for a family restaurant, dry cleaner, liquor store, sporting goods store and many other businesses," the website said.
Aldi hopes to open by Thanksgiving 2015 and the remainder of the development will open in the fall, the Courier reported.
