Guy Found in Ft. Wright Hotel with a Bunch of Heroin is Going to Prison
A man busted in a Ft. Wright hotel with heroin, crack cocaine, a gun, and cash, is going to prison.
Michael Daniels, 27, was sentenced to 106 months in federal prison this week by U.S. District Judge David Bunning. Daniels was tried in Covington on charges of possession with intent to distribute heroin and crack cocaine and possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. Under federal law, he must serve at least 85% of his sentence. He will be on probation for eight years following his release.
Daniels pleaded guilty on December 1, admitting that he had been selling heroin and crack cocaine while staying at the hotel in Ft. Wright where he was busted in June 2014. Agents investigated a complaint about drug activity in Daniels' hotel room and found 36 grams of heroin, 22 grams of crack cocaine, money, a digital scale, and a loaded 9mm handgun.
