126-Year-Old Covington Business Acquired by Erlanger Company
Locally-owned business supply company, Federal Supply, has announced its acquisition of Covington Paper & Woodenware in Latonia.
“We are excited to welcome Covington Paper’s customers to the Federal Supply family. Covington Paper has a 126-year history of providing great customer service, products, and pricing for the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area - qualities that both companies share,” said John Sherron, president of Federal Supply. “Covington Paper was well known for supporting Covington and the surrounding communities and Federal Supply shares similar business and community support principles,”
“Covington Paper’s long-time employees have been hired by Federal Supply and will continue to service accounts,” Sherron said.
Established in 1889, Covington Paper was first located in the 1100 block of Greenup Street, then eventually moved operations to W. 36th Street in Latonia. The business has thrived as a local, family-owned business and has served Northern Kentucky for more than 126 years.
Federal Supply, based in Erlanger, was established in 2004 by the company's president and owner, John Sherron. Federal Supply employs 25 staff members and operates from a large facility on Airport Exchange Boulevard.
