Get a Little Taste of Newport on Sunday

The Taste of Newport event will be Sunday, June 7 rain or shine from 11:00 a.m. - 7 p.m. The 600, 700, and 800 blocks of Monmouth Street will be closed to vehicular traffic for the event. The event is designed to showcase some of Newport’s finest “tastes” from around the city.

Participating Newport restaurants and food businesses include: BB Riverboats, Beef O’Brady’s, Bello’s Bike Pops, Bernhard’s Bakeries, Bourbon & Broad, Carabello Coffee, Dixie Chili, Gangsters Dueling Piano Bar & Restaurant, Gourmet Chili, Green Derby Kentucky Bistro, Jersey Mike’s Subs,  JerZees Pub & Grub, LaMexicana Restaurant & Grocery, Lana’s Diner, Mokka and the Sunset Bar and Grill, Newberry Bros. Coffee & Bistro, Newport Pizza Company, Packhouse, Peluso Market, Pepper Pod Restaurant, Sis’s On Monmouth, Southern Smoke BBQ, Webb’s BBQ, Trailhead Coffee, and Wiedemann’s Fine Beer.  All food items will be priced $5 and under.  A selection of domestic and craft beers will also be available for purchase.

Live Music has been expanded to include two music stages from 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. The genre of music will include alt rock, classic rock, western, country, bluegrass, acoustic, jazz, Gypsy, Latin, originals and more.

700 Block Monmouth Street: 11:00 a.m - 12:30 p.m. - Strik-9; 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. - Mark Stidham Band; 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. – Sander Cat and the Mange; 5:00-7:00 p.m. – Revolver

800 Block Monmouth Street: 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. - Annette Shepherd & Brian Lovely; 1:00-2:30 p.m. - Brother Smith; 3:00-4:30 p.m. – Mack West Band; 5:00-7:00 p.m. – The Phoenix Band
