Road Closure Notice for Villa Hills
A contractor for the City of Villa Hills began a project on August 7 to replace the concrete panels and traffic island located at the intersection of Buttermilk Pike, Valley Trails and Niewahner.
Residents of the Amsterdam Village subdivision are asked to use Amsterdam Road for the next two to three weeks. Buttermilk will close to inbound traffic at Rogers. Valley Trails will close to outbound traffic at Dalewood. Niewahner will close to through traffic at Lakeledge.
Newly poured concrete needs 7-10 dry weather days to fully cure in order to accept vehicles without cracking. Work will stop to allow for the curing period, but the road will remained closed. Police will enforce the no through traffic zone during the project.
For more information please contact the Public Works Director, Derick “Buck” Yelton, at 859-578-4136 or [email protected].
This is the last of three projects to replace the water main and roadway on Buttermilk from Rogers to Niewahner.
