Man Faces Robbery, Heroin Charges After Ludlow Subway Hit
A man is behind bars, accused of robbing the Subway restaurant in Ludlow and possessing heroin and drug paraphernalia.
Larry Travis Cole, 32, was arrested late Friday and booked into the Kenton County Detention Center just after midnight Saturday.
Cole is believed by Ludlow Police to be the man who entered the Subway on Thursday with a towel over his head.
Tips from the community, including a report of a suspicious person in the city, led Officer Scott Nottingham and Sergeant Eric Love to Cole. Though the original release of the robbery suspect's photo indicated that he may also be suspected in other robberies in the area, police later said that they no longer believe that to be the case.
Ludlow Police thanked the agencies and citizens that assisted in finding Cole. "We could not have closed this case without community assistance and the community is safer tonight with this suspect behind bars," the police department said in a Facebook post.
Cole is being held on $25,000 bond and faces charges of first degree robbery, possession of heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is expected to appear in court on Monday.
