New York Socialite Becomes Brand Ambassador for Covington's Fabulous Furs
New York City socialite and 1980's debutante Cornelia Guest is now a brand ambassador for Covington-based Donna Salyers' Fabulous Furs.
Guest is a philanthropist, actress, socialite, and an animal rights activist. She has built a cruelty-free brand that includes a line of high-end bags, a book titled Simple Pleasures, and an events company.
Fabulous Furs produces faux fur products.
“Partnering with Cornelia Guest is a dream come true,” Donna Salyers said. “It’s time to create more excitement behind faux fur and Cornelia is the person to help do just that,“ Working with another fashion designer and lover of all animals makes us a powerhouse duo.”
The addition of Guest to the Fabulous Furs message adds to the company's recent high-profile successes, such as landing on the cover of O, The Oprah Magazine in December, creating celebrated "gorilla wear" to help in the raising of a baby gorilla at the Cincinnati Zoo and being featured in Sports Illustrated, Cosmopolitan, Lucky, and British Vogue, as well as appearances on the Today Show, the Tonight Show, and the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
"Covington is a hub for luxury goods and the rest of the world is catching on," Salyers said.
Donna Salyers' Fabulous Furs has a showroom on 11th Street in downtown Covington and is a multi-channel retailer and manufacturer of women's coats, jackets, apparel, accessories, home goods, and footwear, with a focus on faux fur and animal print products. The products are available in more than 3,000 stores.
