Emergency Road Funds Awarded to Independence, Campbell Co.
Two projects in Northern Kentucky received emergency road aid funding from the Commonwealth of Kentucky on Wednesday.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced $122,800 for a drainage structure on Upper Tug Fork Road (CS 1027) located near Reitman Road over Tug Creek.
The repairs in the unincorporated area of Campbell County are designed to improve safety for cars, school buses, and other vehicles.
The work will be completed by Campbell County.
Meanwhile, the Transportation Cabinet also announced $56,700 in municipal road aid fund for Independence. The city will use the money to repair a bridge on Pelly Road (CS 1017) over Fowler Creek.
The repair is also designed to improve safety for vehicles, the Cabinet said in a news release.
The City of Independence is responsible for the work.
