One Dead, Two Injured in Florence Crash
One man is dead and two others are injured after an early morning car crash in Florence.
Joshua Bedel's 2014 Chevrolet was headed north on Dixie Highway when it left the roadway and struck a utility pole near Melinda Lane, the Boone Co. Sheriff's Office reports Thursday. Bedel, a 34-year old from Williamstown, was killed.
Two passengers were taken from the scene.
Randall Wuest, 22, of Florence, was lifted by Air Care to University of Cincinnati Medical Center where Bradley Upton, 19, of Independence, was also taken.
Their conditions were not released.
The Boone Co. Sheriff's Office Accident Reconstruction Unit is investigating the crash. Dixie Highway was shut down till around 6 a.m. due to the crash. Duke Energy responded to the scene to repair the pole and restore electricity in the area.
