Thomas More to Hold Creative Writing Retreat on November 7
Thomas More College (TMC) is inviting local writers to set aside a full day to dedicate to the art and craft of creative writing at the Community of Creative Writers Retreat on Saturday, November 7, from 10am-4pm at Thomas More College’s Biology Field Station.
Sponsored by TMC’s Creative Writing Vision Program, this semi-annual retreat is open to writers of any genre and experience level; and will offer opportunities for writing, sharing, and friendly, constructive feedback.
The retreat will be led by Thomas More College Writer-in-residence and award-winning author Richard Hague, Pauletta Hansel, an acclaimed regional poet and memoirist who served as TMC’s first Writer-in-residence, and TMC English professor and Creative Writing Vision Director Sherry Cook Stanforth. TMC’s Biology Field Station is located at 8309 Mary Ingles Highway in California, Kentucky and offers sweeping views of the Ohio River, so you can reconnect with nature and the river as you write.
The fee is just $25 ($15 for TMC students and alumni) with snacks provided. Feel free to bring a brown bag lunch for the day.
