Disney Pixar Artist to Speak at NKU on Tuesday
Matt Nolte knows what it takes to turn an image on paper into a movie character beloved by millions of people across the world.
As character art director at Disney Pixar, he has developed characters in some of the studio’s best-loved films: “Cars”, “Ratatouille”, “Brave”, and, now, “The Good Dinosaur,” which is set for release on Nov. 25.
Nolte will visit Northern Kentucky University on Tuesday, November 3 to discuss his work, show clips from “The Good Dinosaur”, and answer questions.
Nolte joined Pixar Animation Studios in 2004 and designed Pixar’s first female lead character, Merida in “Brave.” He has worked as an animator, character designer and, now, character art director at Pixar.
The special guest lecture is 3-4 p.m. in the George and Ellen Rieveschl Digitorium in NKU’s Griffin Hall. It is free and open to the public, but seating is limited.
