Winterfair Coming to NKY Convention Center

Winterfair, a juried fair of fine art and fine craft by over 200 artists from across the country, welcomes shoppers to the Northern Kentucky Convention Center in Covington November 27–29.

Featuring ceramics, glass, wearable art, jewelry, sculpture, painting and photography, Winterfair is an artists’ market where discerning shoppers will find everything from a beautiful glass vase for their home to the perfect mug for their morning coffee. Items range in price from as little as $15 to several thousand dollars.

“Winterfair is a fun, festive start to the holiday season, with unique gifts handcrafted by artists from across the country,” said Betty Talbott, executive director of Ohio Designer Craftsmen, the organizers of the fair.

Among the exhibitors are a number of returning favorites along with many new artists. Indiana artist Rebecca Lowery returns with her fun, colorful functional pottery. Newcomer Kristin Perkins of Michigan creates vibrant, contemporary glass and sterling silver jewelry.

A special section of booths will feature artists from Kentucky Crafted. A Marketplace section on the second floor will offer gourmet treats for purchase, such as chocolate bark, toffee, cocoa mix, caramel and more by Chocolate for the Spirit; and eight flavors of caramel corn, caramel corn toffee, caramel apples, chocolate-covered bacon and peppermint bark by Cappy’s Caramel Corn, a Kentucky Proud member.

Cheri Brinkman, author of the “Cincinnati and Soup” cookbook series, will be on hand Friday, 1:00–4:00 pm, to sell and autograph her books. Illustrations from the books will also be available for purchase. From 12:00-2:00 pm on Sunday, dancers from the Cincinnati Ballet’s The Nutcracker, A Christmas Carol, A Charlie Brown Christmas and Cinderella will entertain visitors.
