Your First Look Inside the Newest Downtown Covington Apartment Development

In roughly two weeks, the renovation of another one of downtown Covington’s landmark buildings will be completed.

The Doctors Building on the southwest corner of 7th Street and Scott Boulevard has undergone an extensive remodel for a little over six months, and now features eight one-bedroom luxury apartments and open office space on the top floor.  

The project is another collaboration between the the Salyers Group and Ashley Development, which developed the Mutual Building on Madison Avenue & Pike Street nearby. 

The apartments located on the second and third floors feature a mix of historic architecture and brand new stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. There are washer and dryer hookups and an elevator service, not to mention private off-street parking both in the back of the building and in the parking garage across the street. Other amenities include central air and heat, a storage unit in the lower level, and pets are permitted with a deposit and $35 monthly fee.

The top floor has two spacious areas designed for business offices where The Hotel Covington, also developed by the Salyers Group and Aparium Hospitality Group, will set up while the $21.5 million project across the street continues to progress. Five of the apartments are still available. While all the apartments are one-bedroom, there are two sizes. The larger version rents at $975, while the smaller is $850 a month.

On the first floor is Garden Grove Organics which has been there for several years.  

The Doctors Building follows successful apartment developments in downtown Covington such as the Market Lofts, the Mutual Building, and Pike Star, all of which filled up before completion or soon after.
