Winter Storm WARNING: Boone, Campbell, Kenton Counties
Three to six inches of snow are expected across the region on Friday and the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for all of Northern Kentucky.
That warning is in effect from 1 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. on Saturday.
Snow is expected to develop across the area on Friday afternoon and then continuing into Friday night before tapering off early Saturday morning. On Friday night, the snow will be heavy.
Expect hazardous travel conditions due to reduced visibilities and snow accumulations. Winds will be out of the northeast at 10 to 15 miles per hour with some gusts ar 25 MPH.
The forecast mostly clears up after that. On Saturday, expect cloudy skies before gradual sunshine and a high near 31. On Saturday night, it will be mostly clear with a low around 14. Sunday will be mostly sunny with a high near 32. The next chance for precipitation is Monday when it will be partly sunny with a high near 39 and a chance of rain in the afternoon.
On Saturday night, The River City News is hosting RCN Live! at Braxton Brewing Company. This live multimedia event about Northern Kentucky will go on as planned regardless of weather conditions. For details, click here.
