Dayton Schools Close Over Threat
The Dayton Independent School District was closed Tuesday due to a threat.
Superintendent Jay Brewer sent out a message that a threat concerned the district's administrators and the city's police department enough that school was canceled.
"We want to let everyone know that the safety and security of our students and staff is our first priority," Brewer said. Dayton Police took a juvenile into cusatody on Tuesday.
It has been determined that all the district's school buildings are safe.
