Car Falls Off Combs Hehl Bridge, I-275 Shut Down After 12-Vehicle Crash

A car fell off the Combs Hehl Bridge and into the Ohio River below on Tuesday afternoon when 12 vehicles collided, shutting down eastbound I-275 for more than four hours.
The accident happened just before 5 p.m. and as of 9 p.m. the eastbound lanes remained closed.
Rescuers from multiple police agencies from across the region responded to the Ohio River to search for the car, which was located hours later, according to WCPO.
An update was expected late Tuesday night but there were no immediate details on how many people may have been inside the car that fell off the bridge, or what caused the accident to begin with.
Others involved in the multi-car crash also suffered injuries, but none were life-threatening.
