NKY Chamber to Honor Local Businesses
On Tuesday, March 22, the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce will present the first annual Business Impact Awards, presented by Huntington Bank, from 4:00-6:00pm at The Madison Event Center in Covington.
Michael Monks, editor and publisher of The River City News, will be the event emcee.
The Business Impact Awards recognizes businesses making an impact in Northern Kentucky in six different categories – Large Business, International Trade, Startup Spirit, Champion of Diversity, Small Business, and Cool Place to Work.
The Large Business category recognizes a business with 50 or more employees, in Northern Kentucky, which has brought national prominence to the region through their work. The finalist s in this category are LeanCor Supply Chain Group, Mercedes-Benz of Fort Mitchell, and The Salyers Group.
The International Trade category recognizes a business invested in Northern Kentucky with at least 20% of sales internationally. The finalists in this category are Armor USA, Beckman Coulter, and HAHN Automation.
The Startup Spirit category recognizes an innovative business, opened within the past three years, which has paying clients and has positively impacted the community. The finalists in this category are Citi Logics, Delish Dish/Made by Mavis and Greenline Salon.
The Champion of Diversity category recognizes a business with a strong emphasis to recruit, retain, and nurture a culturally diverse workforce. The finalists in this category are the City of Covington, Frost Brown Todd, and U.S. Bank.
The Small Business category recognizes a business in operation for at least three years with 50 employees or less (non-franchise) making a significant contribution to the economic vitality of Northern Kentucky. The finalists in this category are OMEGA Processing Solutions, Plumb Tite, LLC and W. Stephens Cabinetry and Design.
The Cool Place to Work category recognizes a business that utilizes organizational effectiveness to discover, grow and maintain its workforce, fostering a culture where employees value their jobs and enjoy going to work. The finalists in this category are Emerge, The Party Source, and Road ID.
