The Hamilton Co. Drug Abuse Resistance Team (DART) initiated the investigation of an accused pot dealer, Delroy Lecky, a resident of 217 West 15th Street in Covington. The Northern Kentucky Drug Strike Force joined the investigation.
On Tuesday, Lecky was stopped in Newtown in Hamilton Co. after leaving Covington. Police say they found six pounds of marijuana on him and Lecky was charged with trafficking and possession and was booked in the Hamilton County Justice Center.
Meanwhille, in Covington, the NKY Drug Strike Force obtained a search warrant for Lecky's residence and with the assistance of Covington Police, recovered what they say was 73 pounds of marijuana and "other evidence" of ongoing marijuana distribution.
