More Details on that Sci-Fi Film Shooting in Northern Kentucky
If you’ve been doing double takes around Northern Kentucky lately – doesn’t that woman look exactly like Angie on Marvel’s Agent Carter or Alex on Nikita? And wait – that guy looks like the one I’ve seen on Homeland….
The filming of sci-fi thriller Curvature is what’s bringing Lyndsy Fonseca and Alex Lanipekun to Northern Kentucky, with various locations and expecting to wrap May 20, according to Fort Thomas Matters. It is directed by Diego Hallivis, produced by Julio Hallivis, and written by Brian DeLeeuw.
The film's sets were first spotted in Covington last week.
Fort Thomas is home base for the movie, which also features Linda Hamilton (famous for Terminator films and Beauty and the Beast on TV) and filled with other actors who look familiar even if you don’t know their names – like Glenn Morshower, who has appeared on more than 20 TV series including Super Girl, been in films and even video games.
According to FTM, the production crew is based in Fort Thomas’s Hiland Building.
The production company is mum about plot details.
According to WVXU, it was the Kentucky Film Office that lured the filming to our region.
Julio Hallivis told FTM, "Most low-budget films need help from the tax incentives in order to get financed and the film commission in Kentucky has been wonderful."
There's no release date set. Julio Hallivis told FTM the plan is to start with major film festivals.
