Suspected Bank Robber Arrested in Covington, Also Faces Heroin, Cocaine Charges
The woman accused of robbing a Ft. Mitchell bank is now behind bars where she also faces charges related to heroin and cocaine.
Ft. Mitchell Police arrested Angela Marie Corns, 40, on Lewis Street in Covington, Detective Ron Wietholter told The River City News.
Corns is believed to have robbed the 5/3 Bank branch at the Kroger store on Dixie Highway moments after entering the nearby PNC Bank branch in Ft. Mitchell. Beechwood Schools were placed on lockdown as police searched for her.
Facing charges of first degree robbery, first degree trafficking a controlled substance (less than two grams of heroin), and first degree possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), Corns is in the Kenton County Detention Center. She is being held without bond and will be arraigned in Kenton District Court on Friday morning.
