Pandas Take First Place in State Stock Market Game
A team of four Notre Dame Academy students placed first in the state wide competition of the Stock Market Game this year.
Seniors Eliza Lenihan and Hannah Sullivan and sophomores Haley Woodruff and Katy Leonard placed first in the state of Kentucky under the guidance of NDA Board Member Mike Dempsey and NDA teacher Hillary Johnson.
Each school year, Notre Dame Academy’s Investment Club enters multiple four person teams in the state wide competition of the Stock Market Game. A program of the SIFMA Foundation, the Stock Market Game is an online simulation of the global capital markets that engages students in the world of economics, investing and personal finance.
This is the first time one of NDA Investment Club teams has taken first place in the state.
"This is a huge accomplishment as it shows the growth and progress that NDA’s business organizations are making throughout the school," said Hillary Johnson. "Congratulations are in order for these tough competitors and we look forward to another successful year in the Stock Market Game in 2016-2017."
