Weekend: Newport Oktoberfest, Taste of the Levee, Wine in Ludlow,
Some fun events are coming your way this weekend in the Northern Kentucky River Cities - and it looks like summer is extending its stay during these first days of fall, with high temperatures in the upper eighties and sunny skies.
Riverboat Row, Newport. Friday, 5 - 11 p.m.; Saturday, noon - 11 p.m.; Sunday, noon - 9 p.m.
Oktoberfest Newport bills itself as the "most authentic" in the area - big words for a region that includes Mainstrasse Village's annual affair, and, of course, Oktoberfest Zinzinnati - both of which just recently passed.
The event is produced in the style of "Munich Oktoberfest" with a large Fest Tent sponsored by German Beer Breweries. There will be food, beer, and music in each tent.
Admission is free. For more details, call 513.477.3320.
