Three from Northern Kentucky Appointed to State Board
Three Northern Kentucky residents are among the fifteen people appointed by Governor Matt Bevin to the Kentucky State Advisory Committee for the Land and Water Conservation Fund.
Bevin tapped the following Northern Kentuckians to join the committee:
- Vanessa Lenear, of Florence, a parks and recreation director
- Chester Alan Hayes, of California, a retired electrician, supervisor, and planning specialist
- William Herald Adkisson, of Erlanger, president of Adkisson Insurance Agency
Their terms will expire March 8, 2018.
The State Advisory Committee for the Land and Water Conservation Fund is composed of fifteen gubernatorial appointees which are to oversee federal grant funds that are used to protect important natural areas, acquire land for outdoor recreation and to develop or renovate public outdoor recreation facilities such as campgrounds, picnic areas, sports & playfields, swimming facilities, boating facilities, fishing facilities, trails, natural areas and passive parks.
